PROBLEMS IN PARADISE (If by ’problems’ you mean ’end’ by ’in’ you mean ’of’ and by ’paradise’ you mean ’scantrip’).

So evil lord dictator seb the terrible is back because your o merciful ruler lachlan the lazy wont even spare the few minutes it takes to keep you his people updated. So im writing to you on heddas and lachy’s last day here in sweden, when in an hours time we will start heading to the airport. So…… what has happened since lachy left you.
Well we went and stocked up on fireworks, champas, and pommac(swedish softdrink is like non alcaholic champas even comes in cool magnum bottle) Bought dinner for new years. Next day we drove to taxinge näsby slott where theres a pretty cool cafe but it was closed due to new years holiday. We then did something else probably wasnt fun since i dont remember it´. Anyway those two days passed pretty quick.

Next day was new years. We hung around at home in the morning doing washing and i started making dinner, marinating the meat. At 6 we packed stuff and headed to mormor’s. Hedda held the marinated meat in her lap going to grandmas and she got some red wine in her groin which was funny cause it looked like well.. you know. GROSSNESS. Got there just after my grandma had left to go party with their crowd. We started making dinner and watched some tv as it was cooking. Then what do you know it was done. My timing was a bit off so we hadnt even started boiling the potatoes but didnt matter case we made a quick salad and there was heaps of food. So what did we eat? Pork fillet rapped in bacon marinated in red wine and garlic. Coated in wild herb blend. Oh and roasted red onions and mushrooms and kantarells. So we ate and drank and watched this show thats traditionally on every year at newyears. Then we decided to go outside to shoot some fireworks. Its illegal to shoot fireworks here which i didnt know but they are sold openly(not illegal to sell them). Cops dont care if you shoot them on new years because there are actually only 4 cops in all of södertälje salem area (imagine from doncaster east to canterbury) and it would be impossible to stop people. So shot some rockets and little explosive things. Lachy got really excited which was funny hes like a 5 yo sometimes. Then we went back inside and in time for the countdown got ready to see all the fireworks in stockholm and all around at midnight. I partly opened the pommac bottle then realised i was a bit early so left it part opened for a bit. Then we were talking about how champagne bottles can pop open by themselves if they dont have the clampy thing on them and i was like.. ”yeah but what are the chances of that happening” THEN IT POPPED which was very funny. Then midnight came and fireworks went crazy. Lachy and hedda seemed pretty amazed at how much fireworks there is as the horizon actually lights up. Lachy likened it to a scene from v for vendetta. Grandma and erik finally got home and we watched some movie for a bit and then they were nice enough to drive us home. Next day

Since then the days are pretty muddled. Weve been in stockholm a few times and saw the city hall with the blue and golden halls where the noble prize is held. Pretty cool building. Then we did some more shopping. We got into a nightclub where you were meant to be 23 and i thought wow this will be good and then it was crap cause everyone was like our parents age. We had food at a restaurant there which was really nice, and we went to globen which is a stadium shaped like a giant globe(looks like a snowball). We saw another icehockey match Djurgården IF vs. Skeffelteå. Djurgården won. 2-0. Good atmosphere cause the place was packed. Then we had suovas which is a sami food. Salted smoked reindeer which is then cooked and served with mashed potatoe which was very nice. So special food and drinks we have eaten so far

Oh this morning the washin machine broke down and they were trying to fix it for hours and grandad started calling repair men and i got up and walked into the laundry room took one look at it and pressed a hidden secret button and it started working and then i went to sleep again like a true hero.. then we went out and bought AUD$60 worth of lollies
