It was -25 outside when we took this photo... SO APPRECIATE IT! nah it wasnt that bad but it was a lot nicer inside the hotel as it actually was slightly warmer. As you can see wall is made of made of ice blocks and no they arent actually coloured blue thats actually just the refracted sunlight that hits the very clear ice. The pillars inside are so clear that you can see in full detail what on the other side its just slightly wonky from the cutting not being perfect. the doors in the photo are covered in reindeer fur and the doorhandle is a horn from a reindeer. cleaning inside the hotel is quite simple. they get a shovel and shovel up a layer of dirty snow and then bring in clean snow from outside and put in its place. each room in the hotel is designed by a different artist. staying there is quite expensive though not impossibly so AUD$500 a night per person. A bit much for a room with no heating and no real door though(doors are just basically a curtain) but maybe one night some time.
